Registration

Online registration for the Sunday race (Townsend Challenge) will be handled by RegattaCentral. The deadline for registration for the Townsend Challenge is June 13. There is no pre-registration for the Saturday race. For the Rat Island race, all racers will register on-site Saturday morning, and there is no limit to the number of entrants.

Some people are experiencing frustration when trying to register on Regatta Central. If you are among them, please email steve at evergreenrowing.com. We’ll do everything possible to ensure you can race! Meanwhile, here is a step-by-step guide:
New User Instructions

If you are a new user to RegattaCentral, please follow these steps to
register for the 5th North American Open Water Championship:

1. Go to www.regattacentral.com
2. Click on the ‘Join Now’ link located in the ‘New Users’ box in the
top left corner of the page
3. Follow the steps to create a new account on RegattaCentral
4. Once the account is created, you will be prompted to add a regatta to
your “My Calendar & Registrations”‘ box.  Select the 5th North American
Open Water Championship and click the ‘OK’ button
5. Click the ‘register’ link under the regatta in the My Calendar &
Registrations box
6. Enter the access code that was sent to you via email after you
created your account and click ‘Submit’
7. Complete the Registration Form and click the ‘Save’ button
8. Click the ‘Submit entry’ link above the Registration Form box
9. Click the Submit Entry link to retrieve the list of events you can
enter
10. Click the ‘Submit Entry’ link beside the desired event
11. Select your name from the drop down box; if need be, you can
manually enter the name of other athletes in the boat on the right side
of the entry form if they are not already listed on your Roster
12. Click the ‘Save’ button

The deadline for receipt of your registration for the Townsend Challenge (NAOWRC 5) is June 13, 2010.

Registration includes participation in the race, a generous registration package (with cool swag including goodies from Oariginals and a racing cap from Patagonia), one free post-race beer and one ticket for the post-race meal/social and awards ceremony. Additional meal tickets for family and friends are available for $20 per person. Registration packets may be picked up either Saturday afternoon or Sunday Morning.

Registration fees are $50/single and $85/double. For larger crews (e.g. an OC-6) add $35 per athlete beyond the boat captain.
